Behind the walls of Irish pig farms
BREAKING: The Investigated farms in this expose have been selected at random. Consequently, what you see in this footage doesn’t expose a particular farm for cruelty or neglect, this investigation depicts routine rights violations of sentient individuals throughout Ireland.
In these facilities thousands of pigs are bred into existence to be exploited and killed. Confined in huge numbers to dark insalubrious buildings, pigs are forced to live on slatted floors among their own excrement and the putrefying bodies of the dead.
Restrained to their tight metal crates, mothers are unable to turn around, they see their babies die before their very eyes. They develop pressure sores, infections and psychological impairments.
It is common in these overcrowded, confined and stressful conditions to cause abnormal behaviour such as biting one another.
Since birth and until the end of their miserable life, these individuals are considered property and quite simply a means of production.
